Landmark days

I made a teensy bit of a fool of myself today.  Now this, in itself, is not news.  Far from it.  What was news was that it involved punching the air while travelling on a packed train.  Monk Quixote made his first appearance in Tom’s Universe I.  And he made sense of everything.  Themes that had been running around my head for the past five years or so suddenly arranged themselves into something recognisable, and hopefully, intelligible.

As it’s not character development I can’t really share it here as it’s the pivotal moment in the first book.  It has a Swedish-native-american feel to it.  Oh, and it involves a new character called Birdie, who is a direct result of seeing too many tattoed men on the internet recently.  It’s a perennial problem, I’m sure you’ll agree.
