Mental sidings

Despite what I wrote the other day, I did have a fairly vivid dream this morning — mainly because I was awake at 4am and knew that I wouldn’t have time for another full sleep cycle before the alarm went off.

I dreamt of a new form of escalator on the tube — essentially a rubberised, mechanical ladder that dropped you more or less vertically on to the platform, except for the end which you had to grab hold off and pull yourself out.  I then went on to have an escapade on Network Rail property, breaking in to a facility and playing with machinery.  Until I pressed the big red alarm button and had to leave — worrying about fingerprints and CCTV.  The machinery involved appeared to be a sideways version of the ladder — a series of machines that would pass something down a corridor.

A metaphor for something. There was another bit with the furry-lion-monster-thing with the tufty ears, but I can’t remember what he was doing.

Boring.
